Silverman Fellows Program with Netter Center for Community Partnerships
The Netter Center is looking to hire a Silverman UACS Fellow for each of our five University-Assisted Community Schools in West Philadelphia (Huey, Comegys, Lea, West, and Sayre). These fellows would be in charge of engaging K-12 youth and documenting the after school or OST programming at each site using creative writing and various types of media (social media, film, photography, etc.). This includes collecting stories, reflection, and feedback from K-12 youth participants, OST staff and teachers, Netter staff, and Penn students.This will not only document the programs for posterity and evaluative purposes, but it will also allow our youth to share their experiences and work with a wider audience. -Motivated, energetic, and enjoy working with children -Flexible -Strong background/experience with at least two different forms of media -Able to work effectively with minimal supervision -Previous experience working in West Philadelphia schools is helpful, though not required If interested, please send a resume and cover email to Bianca White, Director of University-Assisted Community Schools, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
